Shah began his career in 1986 with a small clock trading business in Mumbai called 'Vimal Enterprise'. In 1996, he ventured into manufacturing with 'Riddhi Enterprise', producing 250 wall clocks daily in Morbi, Gujarat.

In 2001, Shah founded Sonam Clocks Pvt. Ltd., establishing a 200,000 square feet facility on the Morbi-Rajkot highway. This marked a significant expansion, increasing production to 25,000 clocks per day and establishing Shah as a leader in India's clock industry.

In the real estate sector, Shah joined Ravi Group, a company founded in 1965. In 2013, an encounter with a pregnant stray dog seeking shelter in his warehouse inspired Shah to focus on animal welfare.
