His childhood in the camp of Hyderabad and later experiences in Kolkata provided the foundation for his artistic sensibilities. Binod pursued a Bachelor's degree in Fine Arts from Burdwan College and further honed his skills with a Master's degree in Printmaking from Visva-Bharati University in Santiniketan.
