Omkar Prasad Baidya (born December 3, 1984) is an Indian physician, philosopher, and author known for his significant contributions to healthcare, education, and literature.^[1]^[2]^[3]

Early life and education

Baidya was born in Agartala, Tripura, India. He attended Shishu Bihar Higher Secondary School in Agartala. His passion for medicine and humanitarianism influenced his decision to pursue a career in the medical field. Baidya earned his MBBS degree from the Regional Institute of Medical Sciences, Imphal, Manipur, in 2009. He later obtained his MD degree from the same institution in 2012. Baidya completed his Ph.D. under the mentorship of Prof. Sunita Tiwari at King George’s Medical University, Lucknow, in 2019, as part of the prestigious ICMR-sponsored Post MD-PhD program.^[4]^[5]
