A. M. Iktear Uddin, widely known as Advocate Anik (born 1984), is a prominent advocate and the co-founder of Prime Legal. He holds partnerships with various law firms, including Vidhikarya, OLQ Online Legal Experts, and Anik and Associates, and is an advisor to several companies.

Advocate Anik has a distinguished career marked by his involvement in high-profile cases. Notably, he has served as a Special Public Prosecutor for a major double murder case in JP Nagar and continues to act as a Special Public Prosecutor for Karnataka in numerous serious criminal cases. His legal expertise has resulted in significant achievements, including securing over ₹1 million in compensation for a client in a consumer case.

In addition to his prosecutorial work, Advocate Anik provides legal counsel to fintech companies on Enforcement Directorate matters involving up to ₹2,500 crores. His extensive experience spans over 30,000 cases across India, with a specialization in various criminal matters, particularly cybercrime.

Currently, Advocate Anik is engaged in full-time legal practice, representing clients in High Courts and other courts throughout India. He also leads legal teams as a consultant for numerous companies and startups, offering expertise in sectors such as manpower, IT, cabs, fintech, tourism, talent acquisition, and employment consulting. Advocate Anik co-founded Prime Legal in 2009 with his partner and wife, Ayantika Mondal.

Personal life and Education

Advocate Anik was born in a small village in the Jalpaiguri district of West Bengal. His father, the late Abdul Jalil, and his mother, the late Nanda, who later converted to Islam and was renamed Shanaz Parvin (also known as Anwara), passed away when Anik was very young. His mother died in 1986, just two years after his birth, and his father also passed away shortly thereafter. Raised in a dual-faith environment, Anik was immersed in both Muslim and Hindu cultures, which has given him a profound understanding and respect for both religions.

In 1999, Advocate Anik relocated to Bangalore from West Bengal. He completed his 10th grade in 2001 and his Pre-University Course (PUC) in 2003. Anik then enrolled in a 5-year LL.B. program at Bangalore University, graduating in 2008. Following this, he pursued an LL.M. with a specialization in Business Law - Corporate Law at University Law College (ULC), affiliated with Bangalore University. He completed the 2-year full-time course in 2010, securing the 2nd rank with First Class distinction in his LL.M. program. As a lifetime alumnus of ULC, he enrolled with the Bar Council of Karnataka in 2010 and has since been practicing law. Advocate Anik represents clients in various capacities before courts, law enforcement agencies, and other organizations.

Anik married Ayantika Mondal on October 5, 2014, in Bangalore. Ayantika, who studied LLB with him, is a renowned lawyer with a strong academic background and comes from a highly respected family. She is a Catholic Christian by birth and has continued to practice her faith after marriage.

Career

He began his career in 2006, providing administrative support to a law firm in Malleswaram until 2008. During this time, he co-founded and managed Legal Troubleshooting with partner Ayantika Mondal, specializing in property title verifications and navigating various data protection laws. Alongside his entrepreneurial venture, he also held a part-time lecturer position at the School of Business.
