Priyagold[1][2] is an Indian food company.[3][4] The brand was established in 1994 under Surya Food & Agro Ltd. by Shri. Ballabh Prasad Agarwal and his sons,[5][6][7] Shri. Manoj Kumar Agarwal,[1] Shri. Navin Kumar Agarwal,[8] and Shri. Shekhar Agarwal. Operating under Surya Food & Agro Ltd., Priyagold has established a global presence, exporting of biscuits, snacks, chocolates,[9] and other food products to over 20 countries across Asia, Africa, Europe, America, Australia,[10] the Middle East, and the Caribbean Islands. Surya Food & Agro Ltd[11]., the entity for marketing biscuits under the Priyagold brand,[12] inaugurated a new manufacturing unit in the state of West Bengal in 2022.[13][14][15][16]

History

Established in 1994,[17][18] Priyagold faced initial challenges but experienced continuous growth. At the time of Shri. Ballabh Agarwal's death in 2021, the company had built an empire valued at Rs 3000 crores,[19][20] as reported by Patrika. In 1994 Priyagold incorporated under the name of Surya Food & Agro Ltd. and launched its product, Butter Bite.[21][22][23][24][25][26][27]
