Abdul Wahied
Abdul Wahied (born 13 November 1991) is an Indian legal consultant, entrepreneur, and technology law professional based in Sharjah, United Arab Emirates. He is the Founder and Senior Legal Consultant of Dar Al Haqooq Legal Consultancy LLC and the founder of AWA and Partners LLP (India), AWA LAW FIRM FZC (UAE), and EZ Legal Hire. He is known for his work in corporate law, technology law, cybercrime, privacy, artificial intelligence regulation, financial crime reporting, and regulatory compliance.
Early life and education
Abdul Wahied was born on 13 November 1991 in Poonch, Jammu and Kashmir, India. He completed his schooling at Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya, Surankote, before continuing his education at Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya, Chandigarh.
He obtained a Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Laws (Honours) from the University Institute of Legal Studies, Panjab University, Chandigarh. He later earned a Master of Laws (LL.M.) with Merit from the University of East London and subsequently completed an LL.M. in Technology and Artificial Intelligence Law from the University of Bradford, United Kingdom.
His academic interests include artificial intelligence regulation, cyber law, privacy, data protection, legal technology, digital governance, and emerging technology law.
Career
Wahied began his legal career in the United Arab Emirates as a Legal Consultant with Fathiyah Ali Advocates and Legal Consultants between 2015 and 2017, where he worked on litigation support, employment law, legal drafting, legal research, and corporate advisory matters.
In 2017, he founded Dar Al Haqooq Legal Consultancy LLC in Sharjah. Under his leadership, the firm expanded its practice areas to include corporate advisory, dispute resolution, intellectual property, technology law, regulatory compliance, and commercial legal services.
He later established AWA and Partners LLP in India and AWA LAW FIRM FZC in the UAE to provide cross-border legal advisory services. He also founded EZ Legal Hire, a legal recruitment platform designed to connect legal professionals with law firms and corporate organizations through technology-enabled hiring solutions.
His practice focuses on corporate structuring, commercial agreements, cybercrime matters, privacy compliance, intellectual property protection, financial crime reporting, and regulatory compliance.
